The last of the Julie
Campbell books though not the series, Trixie and the Bob-Whites of the Glen (BWGs)
venture to Arizona to visit Di’s real Uncle Monty. As
part of getting to go, Trixie must be tutored by Jim and Brian in English and
Math so she’ll be ready to pass the mid-terms.
Though, of course, a mystery or two get in the way of Trixie’s homework
away from home, she manages, under Jim and Brian’s tutelage to work her way
through and come out feeling good about her progress. And the mysteries tend to solve
themselves. The BWGs help Uncle Monty
out when the help quit and through their efforts engage other guests to participate
in aiding the endeavor and also become happier in the process. Great pulling together of clues and characters. Nice way to end the six stories over a six
month period of adventures. And
lots of information about Arizona and Tucson area and history of the natives –
both Mexican and Navaho.
