It is
now mid-November and a huge storm is brewing and on its way from the mid-west
to the Atlantic coast. The Bob-Whites
are busy working on repairing the old gatehouse into a suitable clubhouse to
store sports equipment like skis, tennis rackets, snow shoes and the like. The storm is no fierce it knocks the lights
out, trees are uprooted and when the BWGs go to inspect their cottage find an
old spruce tree has fallen and damaged the roof, soaking their gear and ruining
their dreams. Added to the plot of how
to get the place fixed with limited funds, Brian is in the process of buying an
old jalopy from Mr. Lytell, the local storekeeper. Brian is so honorable that he donates his $50
to buy repair items for the club house rather than spend it on the car he has
his heart set on. You’ll love what
Trixie does to get Mr. Lytell to hold off selling the car to someone else. More plots abound as the boys mend the roof,
the girls patrol the game preserve when the game keeper quits, preparations are
made for Thanksgiving and a new character is introduced who saves the day. Ride with us again as Trixie and Honey tail a
would-be poacher.
