Number

While
staying a night at the Wheeler mansion, Trixie takes a phone call from an
unknown caller looking for Betje Maasden.
With a little pondering Jim discovers this is the name of his mother’s
sister. A local newspaper article
announces a Canadian company will build a furniture factory as soon as title to
the valuable land is established. The
land happens to run along the Wheeler property, near the marsh and the last
name to appear on the abstract is Betje Maasden. And so the mystery begins.
Involved
are Mrs. Vanderpoel, a woman named Juliana who claims to be the heir and Jim’s
cousin, and another girl about Juliana’s age who has amnesia and a mysterious
green Buick that Juliana is attached to.
By the time the tale is told, we have the makings for a sequel.
